James Heim has been a household name on the IFSA tour for years, This year MSP gave him his big break...He has been charging big mountain lines and backcountry booters all season. One thing with this kid is he is always keen to giv'er...

We caught up with James recently and heres what he had to say....

What was your favorite day of skiing this last season?

My favorite day skiing last year was the first day I was ever filmed from a
heli. I had been heli skiing before but having the heli flying around you before your going to drop in got me so stoked. We only skied the morning but filmed from the heli every run and when we got back to the lodge all I wanted to do was be back out there with the heli again.

What was the coolest place you were able to ski this last season? trip highlights?

The coolest place I was skiing last year was Terrace BC with Abma, Hojo and Ingrid. They had an 8 meter base and we managed to have one epic full blue perfect powder blue bird day. We had the first blue day in two months so we were pretty fired up. Flying back to the lodge after a great day then sitting on the deck having beers in the sunset was all time.

What was the most substantial thing you learned last season?

I learned that crashing my truck is very unfavorable...

What goals did you achieve last season and what are you hoping to achieve in the future?

I skied so many days last season and was really happy that I was able to spend most of my time in the backcountry. My goal was to ski some cool lines, hit as many cool features as I could find and have a great time doing it. I definetly got to do that. Next season I just want to ride hard, have fun, hopefully ski some bigger lines and start jumping earlier.
