“The Way I See It” EXTRAS Announced

“The Way I See It” is stacked with all the best action from 2010, but we had more than enough left over to build an amazing package of DVD and Blu-ray bonus features.  Over an hour of exclusive footage will be included in the extras, including the following segments:

-Sean Pettit:  Sean has a full length feature segment in the film, but he logged so much epic footage while filming with MSP this year that we added a full second segment!  Follow Sean on his winter travels from Niseko Japan to Bralorne BC, Red Bull Cold Rush to Cooke City Montana, and all the way back home to Whistler BC.

-Eric Hjorleifson:  Hoji kicked off the year with a trip to Golden Alpine Holidays’ Meadow Lodge with Mark Abma, where the two earned their turns deep in the backcountry.  Some of the deepest footage of the year came out of this ski touring trip!  Hoji shot in Bralorne BC with an all-star crew later in the season and was accompanied by a heli outfitted with a Cineflex camera to capture some absolutely mind-blowing footage!

-Rory Bushfield:  Bushy, as usual, had a great winter shredding big mountain lines, hitting backcountry booters, and generally just having more fun than anyone else you know!  Bushy took his traveling circus from Whistler BC to Portes du Soleil Switzerland (where he back-flipped off a five story castle into a lake), and back to BC for an epic month-long shoot in Bralorne BC.

-James Heim:  Heimer, in-between shooting stunt scenes for the movie “Inception” this winter, was still able to log a ton of footage with MSP.  In typical James Heim form, he went out a charged big mountain lines and stomped everything in sight.  Heimer hit up Bralorne BC, Mustang Powder Guides, and Bella Coola BC.

-Henrik Windstedt:  Henrik came back for his second year of filming with one goal in mind: racking up a heap of phenomenal footage.  Henrik kicked off the year with some catskiing in BC before flying to Japan alongside Sean Pettit and Jacob Wester – it snowed two feet everyday and the boys completely crushed it.  Henrik filmed with MSP throughout the winter, but saved his best skiing for last.  He and Cody Townsend spent two weeks in the Chugach range during April, where they pulled a week’s worth of blue bird days that provided enough footage to make an entire movie.

-Red Bull “Off The Planet”:  Red Bull received a phone call early this past year from Melbourne-based installation artists ENESS asking if they wanted to create a projection globe which could be placed for riders to trick over.  With that phone call, “Off The Planet” was born.  ENESS brought an inflatable 21’ sphere to Mammoth Mountain this spring, where it hovered between the feature’s massive take-off and landing.  Looking like a scene out of TRON, the 3D projections that the riders were able to trick over made for some of the most unique cinematography that has taken place in the action sports world!

-Oakley Surf Trip – Bali:  Oakley surf team travels to Bali – amazing edit!
