Russ Henshaw walked away from the 2010 Volkl New Zealand Freeski Open with the top spot on the podium.  After dropping a final run that included back to back double corks, Russ narrowly edged out the win, bringing the crown back down to the southern hemisphere.  Right on his tail were Bobby Brown (the defending champion) and Gus Kenworthy.  All three athletes filmed extensively with MSP Films this year, and this event proved to be the culmination of phenomenal years for all three.  Congrats boys, we’re all stoked for you!

Highlights of all three athletes final runs included the back to back double corks from Russ (a 10 followed by a 12), a switch double misty 12 from Bobby (the only of the competition), and a couple double corks (a 12 and switch 10) from Gus as well.

The women came to throw down as well with Kim Lamarre taking the crown, followed by Anna Segal and Megan Gunning to complete the podium.
