CRESTED BUTTE, Colorado (April 13th, 2010) - It is with great pleasure that MSP announces that its Emmy Award nominated HDTV series, “Focused” will be airing in its entirety on Discovery’s HD Theater Network.  The series will begin on Wednesday, April 21st at 8pm EST.  All episodes will be aired with a new one running every Wednesday night at 8pm EST through July 14th, 2010.  The overview for the “Focused” series:

“Imagine it was your job to get sent to the most remote corners of the world to do what you love most.  These are athletes, but this is no game.  They have been training all their lives but there’s no trophy to win.  The friends watching their backs are more than a team, they’re a lifeline.  They’re living a dream that could end as fast as the weather changes, equipment breaks, or they misjudge a landing.

This is their job.  They are sponsored professional athletes that get sent to the most exotic spots on the planet to push the limits of their sport to capture one moment… 15 seconds of film or a half-page glossy photo, and there’s no place that they would rather be.  When the drop count ends it’s just you, your fear, and the film crew.  The world is rushing around you but for that moment in time you… and the camera… have to be focused.”

May 5th, 2010, 8pm EST - Episode #4 “Speed Riding”: Travel with the MSP to Chamonix, France to chase some of the most deranged athletes on the planet as they seek the ultimate mountain adrenaline rush through Speed Riding.  Athletes include: Antoine Montant, Francis Bon, Francis Bru and Harvey Cerutti.

May 12th, 2010, 8pm EST - Episode #5 “Quest For The Classics Of The Alps Part 1”: Follow professional skiers and alpinists, Chris Davenport and Stian Hagen, as they attempt to climb and ski Europe’s most famous and sought after peaks.

June 9th, 2010, 8pm EST - Episode #8 “Gods Of Thunder”: Professional Kayakers Steve Fisher, Ben Brown and Shane Raw travel to Norway for some of the best whitewater in the world.  Huge drops, tight creeks flowing huge and the always gorgeous Norwegian countryside are in store on this trip!

June 16th, 2010, 8pm EST - Episode #9 “Hold On Loosely”: Cameron Zinc and Aaron Chase, two of the world’s foremost mountain bikers, travel the Northeast United States on Harleys and session all that New England has to offer.  Be sure to tune it for the huge U-Ditch Dirt Halfpipe in New Hampshire and some of the best stunts accomplished on bikes!

June 23rd, 2010, 8pm EST - Episode #10 “Badlands, How The West Was Won”: Follow four of the world’s best mountain bikers as they road-trip through the Badlands of Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota in search of epic dirt.  The group then heads to southern Utah where they charter a helicopter and record come of the most mind-blowing footage in the desert.

June 30th, 2010, 8pm EST - Episode #11 “Rolling Dirty In Morocco”: Travel to the northern reaches of Africa’s Saharan Desert to see some of the best mountain bikers out there tame the desert landscape while taking in some amazing culture.

July 7th, 2010, 8pm EST - Episode #12 “Behind The Lens Part 1”: This special takes a look back the five year Focused TV Series.  Enjoy interviews with the filmmakers that made the series happen, extended athlete interviews and some never before seen footage from the sites around the world.  Skiers have survived avalanches, BASE jumped off the Eiger, flown in wing suits too close to the ground in the Norwegian countryside, mountain biked in the remote corners of Turkey, and kayaked off of world record sized waterfalls.  This two part series will be all the best action wrapped up into one.
