Bio

During several years filming with MSP, Ingrid Backstrom has had her share of ups and downs.  This year presented Ingrid with several challenges, all of which were eclipsed by the tragic loss of her brother Arne in June of 2010.  The Backstroms represent a family of lifelong snow enthusiasts.  Arne was the newly-crowned champion of the Freeskiing World Tour, and brother Ralph has experienced several triumphs in big-mountain snowboarding events.  Ingrid herself spent several years dominating the IFSA freeskiing tour with her uncanny knack for charging in the toughest terrain.  Her performance over the years speaks volumes for her abilities, and her willpower and determination will continue to guide her through the toughest adversities.
