Wilson has done more scary things on skis than any one person should ever have to live through. If cats have nine lives, he’s got at least twice that many. Here’s what he has to say about his experiences in skiing and in life…

What was the coolest place you were able to ski this last season? Trip highlights?

This past season I got to travel to northern India and ski the Himalayas. I’ve dreamed of skiing there since I was a little kid, and it finally became a reality. Stoked.

Who do you enjoy skiing with, and why?

Skiing is about fun. So I try to surround myself with other skiers who will have a smile on their faces all the time. The kind of kids who ski in rainstorms – those are the best ski buddies.

Who would you consider to be the biggest influence to your skiing and why?

Mike Nick has been a huge influence on my skiing. He moved to my hometown when I was 11 years old and we rode together every day. We skied during the day and bounced on trampolines at night. He taught me the rotations, the grabs, and how to have fun no matter what.

What is your favorite non-skiing activity? Explain why…

My favorite thing to do off the hill is soccer. I used to be a lot better than I am now, but I have always enjoyed playing soccer with friends. It allows me to concentrate on the game and forget anything else that might be on my mind.
