Sarah’s been a busy girl this year between winning competitions, traveling, filming, and – oh yeah – winning the hearts of the ski community all over the world. She took a few minutes out of her busy schedule to chat with us recently…

What was your favorite day of skiing last season?

If I had to pick one it would be the pipe comp at the WSI. My Mom and best friend were there. It was sunny. I skied well and finished first. I had wanted to try a 10 in the pipe forever but never had the right moment. At the end of the day I gave it a go. I have never been more pumped to land a trick in my life!

What was the coolest place you were able to ski this last season?

Terrace was the coolest place I went. We were there in our own lodge, with the heli parked out back and our own chef! Between the filmers, photographer and riders, we had an amazing crew. Even though we only had about one day of sunshine total in two weeks we had the best trip! Everyone together made it a really rad experience. I was sad to leave.

Who do you enjoy skiing with, and why?

Chris Rubens, he is super patient and will always give me a hand choosing a line. Rory Bushfield, he is fun and he pushes me to try things I wouldn’t normally try. And Grete Eliasson, she has amazing energy and really loves skiing. And DBC of course!

Who would you consider to be the biggest influence to your skiing and why?

I take a little bit from everyone. Hugo, Abma, and Ingy for being so aggressive in big mountains. Seth, Pep, and Pollard for being so innovative. TJ, Simon, and Sammy for being so damn good in the park. Douglas for just knowing it all. I could go on forever...

What is your favorite non-skiing activity? Explain why…

Too many: surfing, biking, cooking, shopping, movies, gym, and following Rory around on his crazy adventures!
