This girl was pretty much ready to go any given day last winter, and was the first to sign up for any trip we were putting together. She told us last year that she likes dance parties, her Subaru, and straight airs into deep pow. Well… yeah, Ingrid… duh.

Who do you enjoy skiing with, and why?

Well, besides all of the Matchstick crew, of course, I love skiing with my family, because they rip and they like to do little hikes to good snow; and all of my friends at Squaw and elsewhere – because we understand each other, and we don't even really talk about what run we want to do – we just do it, have fun, and inspire each other on even the days with crappy conditions.

What was the most substantial thing you learned this last season?

I learn so much every year, but I would say the most substantial thing I learned last season was to be patient and ski as much as possible whenever I have a chance. We were grounded a lot which made me antsy on some of our trips in April, but then late April and even May came around, and all of the snow that kept us grounded earlier made for a great late season – patience rewarded.

What is your favorite non-skiing activity? Explain why…

I would have to say that I don't have a specific favorite non-skiing activity, but it would be something outdoors with friends – biking, running, dancing, or just swimming and having a picnic!

What was the coolest place you were able to ski this last season? Trip highlights?

Last season was amazing because the northwest, BC, and Alaska got so much snow – I loved spending so much time up there and just marveling at the amounts of snow that fell! I would say anywhere in BC and Washington, plus Haines, were the coolest places I got to go – lots of storm days which are the best days. The highlights were tree skiing with massive amounts of pow everywhere!
